wordpress 2.6.2 got hacked – blog reverts to install page

hi all.

just a few hours ago, my 2.6.2 blog got ‘hacked’. my wp_options table was messed up and i had to repair it to get things sorted out.

the information about messed up wp_options and doing a repairtable was info on fixing exploits for WP version prior to 2.6 – i am wondering how come i got hit on an updated installation.

i have fixed my woes for now – i am just paranoid whoever hit me just now will be back to do more damage. hopefully, i can harden my installation before that and keep people warned about being vigilant.
