• I used this for a while, trying it out with the free version and then upgrading to the PayPal invoice module. The PayPal invoice module wasn’t working properly, and there’s pretty much no support for that, despite it being paid for.

The free version was also spamming people who won auctions with notification emails with the result that they had to filter out emails from me.

Nitesh said that if I got the full version he could sort out the email spamming issue, so I did. But the support was intermittent and the email problem never went away. In the end I gave up out of frustration and found another plugin which works properly.

In the pro version, you also can’t run auctions without the bidders logging in, and the login feature uses the basic wordpress log pages. It’s a usability nightmare for a user, they don’t even get redirected back to the acuction after subscribing to the blog.

The basic auction feature works fine and looks pretty good, but in my opinion this isn’t ready for serious applications. YMMV

WP Auctions. It takes a little more setting up but is reliable and cheaper. Works great.

    Hi Paul and other friends,

I read your initial review but forgot to reply on it.

You have first mentioned that you have bought paypal payment module but did not got much support. We generally serve all our customers pretty well and I apologize if there was some delay. I hope you might have contacted us via our support channel.

Regarding FREE version spamming users, that wasn’t happening with all the users but was a peculiar problem which occurred under specific condition and that have been fixed. Also, PRO has a different architecture to intimate users and it did not have this issue.

PRO version has come a long way now. We now have:

Ultimate Auction Pro Theme which is ideal for users seeking new auction site and
Ultimate Auction Pro Plugin which is ideal for users auctioning on existing sites.

We always try to update our software and provide prompt support.

    Regards,
    Nitesh
