Embed articles suddenly doesn’t work anymore

    Hello
    a curious problem appeared 2 days ago. When I was writing the URL of an article of my blog inside a new post, I had the habit of getting automatically an embedded preview of this article. Nothing happens now (the URL is there but no iframe/embed appears). What is strange is that the embedded articles which where in previous posts still work.
    Has anyone ever got the same problem ?

    Theme : Hueman v 3.3.4
    Extensions : no new extensions installed when the problem appeared

  • I have the very same problem after updating to 4.7.1 – nothing happens when link is inserted. Does anybody know how to fix this?

    I really can’t figure out what is going wrong. Can you send me the list of your extensions installed ? (I will see if there are some that are common with mine)

    no idea, what happened ?? I ran a clean install of 4.7.1, without any plugins, and it worked. Must definitely there is a conflict. Please let me know, if you use any of the plugins from my list – I’ll try deactivating them one by one to figure out the conflict.

    strange. It seems we have only Jetpack in common.
    I use also WP fastest cache (you use WP Super Cache)
    When I desactivate Jetpack, it seems to go back to normal in new articles.
    I don’t know if i have to desactivate the whole extension or if I can keep some functionalities (I mainly use the statistics).
    What about you ?
    Can you do the same test ?

    Hello again, I’ve figured it out – it has indeed been Jetpack all along, but not the whole plugin, just one of its components, ‘Shortcode embeds’.

    Go to Jetpack – Settings – Writing – and deactivate Shortcode Embeds. Should work!

    Faced the same bug and seems to be an issue with the Jetpack.
