• When I try to create a new sermon and click Publish, I get an HTTP Error 500. The post gets created and I can go in and look at it, but the audio file never gets attached or shows up and neither does any of the text information. Even if I don’t attach an audio file and try to make one without the mp3 I still get the error.

Old sermon posts still work just fine, but new ones can not be created. This is the first week that this has happened. I am using version 2.0 of the plugin.

Just a note if it would help anyone, on each sermon page, including old ones, I get an error when inspecting the page in chrome. It says that it failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (internal Server Error) and then lists the url mydomain/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

From everything I have looked thru in that file it looks fine, so I am wondering if there is something in the newest update of this plugin that is not playing nicely.

    Thanks!

    Andrew

  • Hey Andrew!

There were some backwards compatibility issues that might cause this. Can you see if the issue is still there if you update to version 2.0.1?

I am having the same issue but I have updated to 2.0.2. Only the title and the choices from the right side like preacher, series and topic seem to save. None of the sermon details will save at all including the date or MP3 location.

    Thanks for a great plugin!

Hi, any resolution to the above issues? We are now experiencing the same issues…we have gone through all the regular error 500 resolutions, but it seems like it is this particular plugin, as we are able to post regular wordpress posts, as well as pages. It is only this plugin causing the error 500.

Any new updates for this?? Thank you!! We love this plugin and would like to continue using it

Quick update. We are on 2.0.3 and still having this error.

    Thanks again!

This is the error i am getting

[25-Feb-2017 06:19:28] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getTimeStamp() on a non-object in /home1/abcedmco/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php on line 318

Hey @ametcalf, @edwurd and @abcedm, Sermon Manager has new owners now. ??

Can you confirm that the issues are still present in 2.0.7?

I have updated to 2.0.7, and its even worse. It crashes the entire wp-admin site after installation.

    Hi all,

We just worked with a customer with this issue and we fixed it by doing the following:

We updated CMB2_Utils.php to reflect the latest official code, you can try that by using the following – https://github.com/WP-for-Church/Sermon-Manager/blob/master/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php

We also set the customers PHP version to 5.6

Everything then worked fine for them, no more 500 errors when posting sermons.

Could you please try those 2 things and let me know how you go?

    Thanks for your patience.

    Igor
