After the v2.4 upgrade, the Soundcloud Is Gold gives the following error: “You have not provided a valid SoundCloud URL. Learn more about using SoundCloud players.”

    what to do?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Could you give more details about the error? For example where is this occurring (Widget, Options, post)? What version of the plugin did you have before updating? Could you also give me the souncloud username you’re using so I can try to replicate the issue? If you are using Chrome, you can right click on the page, select inspect, click on the “console” tab and then refresh the page, can you see any error messages (in red)?

Have you tried clicking “saving settings” in the Options panel and on the widget panel?

    Cheers

    Hi

Only visible error is in the widget from web front

You have not provided a valid SoundCloud URL. Learn more about using SoundCloud players.

    inspection error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
    https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Fset…_play=false&show_artwork=true&color=ff7700&visual=false&show_comments=true
I’ve made no changes to any setup in soundcloud. Yes tried to save anew, did not help.

Thank you very much for doing this.

It seems like the url is missing the part of the request which is the track id and the type of request (track in this instance)

The url you’ve pasted isn’t full (the 3 dots after %2Fset…), would you be able to give me the full url? If you right-click directly on the player that ins’t working and select inspect, the inspector will open and you should be able to find the iframe by scrolling up in the source code. The iframe should have an url, that’s the one I’m looking for.

Otherwise, is this website live? I could do it myself.

So the error is on the widget then, am I right to assume the rest of the plugin works?

I managed to replicated the bug! It’s with the playlists.

Should be able to fix and make an update.

Thank you very much for your help and pointing me in the right direction with providing the url.

    Cheers
