I’ve been using the Dreamobjects plugin to back up to my dreamhost account for almost two months. Previously immediate backups and scheduled backups were running fine. I checked my dreamhost account last week and found that none of my weekly scheduled backups had run since 1/07, and when I attempt to do an immediate backup the plugin freezes – it sat on “a backup is currently in progress” for 3 days and no such backup was ever created and logged on my dreamhost account. I double checked and made sure the keys were all correct and they are. Deactivating and reactivating the plugin doesn’t unfreeze the immediate backup it thinks it’s doing – it will still say that one is in progress. Uninstalling and Reinstalling hasn’t remedied the problem, if I hit “back up asap” again it will just freeze again. I’m able to do manual backups from the shell so it seems to be a plug-in problem. I also havent received notifications since day 1 of install even though I have it set to notify me for success and failure.

If it thinks it’s still running, then you most likely have a stuck cron job. However looking at the database and the debug log, it appears to be running just fine. I see backups have been made. You only log for failures so you wouldn’t get notified unless it failed.

You have a full backup made on the 28th and another (which I triggered by visiting your site) today.

Hi, I’m having the same problem. No backups for almost 2 weeks and the Immediate Backup function is stuck on ‘Backup in Progress’. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Hugh

Similar issue here — fresh install, clicked “backup now,” didn’t back up and is now stuck saying “backup in progress.” How do I clear that and start over?
