    Hi,

All of a sudden, Organizer is not saving on the Event editing page.

I have tried selecting an Organizer from the drop-down list, and I have tried creating a new Organizer – but either way – when I press Update – the organizer field returns to it’s grayed out unselected state.

Strangely all my past events have remembered their Organizers.

The knock on effect of this is that no Organizer is displayed on the event page, and the map and design gets screwed up.

Would be very grateful for your help ! please take a look:

Let me know where to ping my login details too L)

  • Hi @steedoc,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble! I’m happy to help troubleshoot this with you to see what’s happening.

First of all, please make sure you are using the latest version of our plugins. Once you’ve done that, will you please follow the steps outlined in this article? This will allow us to determine if there is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

Let’s start there and see what we find!

Hello – thanks for getting back to me.

I followed the instructions – activated 2016, deactivated all plugins, but the problem described above still persisted.

I wonder if the plugin got corrupted when I moved hosts recently?

If you could offer further input that would be great

    Hi @steedoc,

Thanks for following up! Since you mention your problems beginning after a recent hosting change, it’s possible that these problems are now occurring due to more restrictive memory limits on your new server. Issues with data not saving properly in WordPress have been known to occur as a result of WordPress running out of memory resources. You may wish to try increasing the amount of memory that’s allocated to your WordPress install and/or PHP. This guide from WooCommerce provides helpful information on how to do this yourself, but please note that some hosting providers restrict user access to memory limits, and you may need to contact your hosting support staff directly.

Please give these steps a try, and let us know if any of these help to address your issue here! If not, we’ll see where we can go from there!

Nope, it’s not saving Organizer for one of my events. Sorry – if you could suggest anything else that would be helpful. ta

(just to clarify I was able to change the memory allocation in wp-config, but I didn’t try doing so in the php.ini file (it’s a sub site – there was no php.ini in that folder(?). Also didn’t change the htaccess file as it didn’t explain where or how to add the code.
