• This plugin does a great job really well. Easy to use. One minor niggle: the Twitter handle that comes up in the visual editor dialogue box sometimes spontaneously switches from the one I entered on the dashboard BCTT page to my WP Username. When it does so, the text entry box it sits in turns yellow. Weird.

And a quick, low priority feature request… I read in one thread that you added a ‘prompt’ attribute. It would be nice to have this in the visual editor dialogue.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the kind words.

That switching to your WP username is likely a password manager or other browser extension trying to be “helpful” and fill out that field for you. I am unable to replicate that on my end, using LastPass on Chrome. I’m going to look into why that might be happening, and see if there’s something I could change to make that perform better, because that’s annoying.

Also, regarding the “prompt” attribute: I try really hard to limit the number of options I visibly give users, because for the vast majority of users, it’s a nuisance. You can read more about that here: https://benlikes.us/7r

That said, it would be cool to add the option to add more visible options. Maybe that’s my next add-on!

Your password extension theory is plausible. As a data point, I use Safari on Mac, and it does do some of my field-filling. Meanwhile, it’s sporadic, and I know Safari does not dominate the market, so thank you for taking it seriously.

Fair enough on the prompt feature, by the way – your plugin: your rules!

    best regards
    Mike
