LinkedIn sharing not working after latest update

  • Since the latest update to Yoast SEO, LinkedIn is not picking up my Open Graph tags anymore. I had shared a link 2 weeks ago, and the image has now disappeared from the LinkedIn status update. Also, I can’t share pages anymore, it’s not picking up any of the OG tags. This has happened on several websites, any idea why?

  • are the open graph tags actually there ? easy to test by looking at your page source.

    We’re not having this problem on any of our sites, so might be local issue, or conflict with plugin, or something not updated to work with latest (more)secure version of WordPress.

    Yes, I have checked and they are there. It’s only a problem with LinkedIn, Facebook works fine. Also, my site is completely uptodate with WP, plugins and theme.

    LinkedIn caches sharing information for, I believe, 48 hours. If you’ve shared the URL recently, please wait 48 hours before sharing again.

    As the tags are working for Facebook, we know the tags are included and accurate in your source code. Do you have any type of security that might be blocking bots or preventing access to images?
