    Hi, my website was hacked last week, since then I can’t activate or upgrade the download plugin. Has anyone had this problem happen before? This is the line error that I am getting whenever I try to activate the plugin:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/modafaci/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager_old/download-manager.php on line 14

    You are seeing the error, means, your server using php version lover than 5.3, you will need 5.3 or higher.

    and plugin dir name must be download-manager, now it is download-manager_old in your installation.
