Deleted Category

I recently made modifications to my Category List by deleting Category 8 and merging it with another category. Everything is working fine except for the fact that some of the search engines are sending visitors to /?Cat=8 where the visitors find a page telling them “Not Found”. I have a search box on the page and most visitors are eventually finding the page they were wanting.

Is there a way to either re-create Category 8 or to make a static page for /?Cat=8 that would redirect the visitor to the appropriate page?
