Upgrading from .72 to 1.2

  • So I’m finally upgrading from wordpress .72 to 1.2. I know, i know, most of you think I should have done this LONG ago but to be honest .72 has been working flawlessly for me for over almost a year and there’s just now some features in 1.2 I want and thus, need to upgrade for.
    My question is this: the instructions seem vague so do I just upload all of the files and overright the existing files? Or should I just delete the current WP directory (I’ve already downloaded a backup copy of the directory) and upload the new files in their place?
