    Hi,
I have installed WordPress on my virtual server running Ubuntu 16.04 and PHP 7.0. I have just created my first website on the server and was trying to use the Duplicator plugin to clone it, but get the following message – Zip Archive Enabled Fail. This issue has been covered in other topics, but they only seem to cover managed hosting. Does anyone have a fix for a virtual host?
    Thanks

    Hey @panfield48,

Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items on the FAQ that may provide a solution with this issue, this one may get you going.

    ? ? – Working with PHP ZipArchive
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-trouble-060-q

Let me know if any of them help~

    Thanks Cory,

I think I have the relevant zip package installed – I’ve run ‘sudo apt-cache search php7.0-*’ and can see ‘php7.0-zip – Zip module for PHP’ in the list, but I’m confused about how to get it recognised and working. I looked at the link you sent me and I can see no record of Zip in either the phpinfo or php.ini files.

    Regards

I also can’t see the “Configure Command” line in phpinfo . Also the path for this is incorrect in the link. It should be Duplicator > Tools > Diagnostics > PHPinformation

    Hey @panfield,

Thanks for the correction… I found this thread of a user with a similar issue, maybe it will help…

    Hi Cory,

I have had a look at the link provided above – and many others. I have installed php7.0-zip but I’m still not understanding it, and the Duplicator plugin is still not working. What is the relevance of the zip.so extension? And how would I install this if it is important?

    Regards

    Mike
