I am not sure that is a plugin issue. Does it work if you try those characters with translations for other plugins (maybe translate just one line and see if it works)?

Yes it is a plugin problem for it is a check on example the mail header line, og task line it is because “reminder” on Danish is p?mindelse, there is nothing wrong with the translation it works but not the check i the plugin inputs

OK… I understand the issue now. I should be able to release a patch to fix this after I return home.
