Only load video lightbox plugin resources on pages that need them?

    Hi, is there a way to only load the resources for this plugin on pages that use it, or to specify which pages not to load it on? For example a copy/paste code to go in functions.php that we can modify with conditional logic?

    Right now it loads resources on the home page of a site I’m using it on, for instance. but the video is not there, and it doesn’t need to be on the home page. So it affects load time that way.

    Hi, there might be a function but I am not the plugins developer. However the plugin that I shared above does exactly what you are looking for without having to write any code and or add any functions. Let me know how you go with the plugin. If you can’t get it work let me know so that I can send a message to the plugin developers.

    Thanks for that. That resource is from 2010 though. Are you sure it’s still relevant? I think I tried some of it but without success. The problem is, since I’m not a coder, it’s hard for me to know if it was my mistake or not.

    Can you provide a link to the site and what plugin(s) you are trying to remove styles/scripts for and I can possibly help you out.

    I ended up going with this plugin, which makes things much easier, and seems to work (though it can give an error depending on server conditions, but that can be solved):

    WP Scripts & Styles Optimizer

    Its much simpler than the plugin organizer linked to in this thread. That one confused me incredibly. I had no idea what was going on or what to do with that plugin. Maybe I just didn’t give it enough time. But the one I found works a lot more ‘dummy proof’ to me.
