add some code in the header

  • Hi, I am a beginner and I’d like to add a secondary menu and a widget in the header. How can I do that without losing the customization I made? Tknks a lot.

    To customize the UnderStrap theme its the best to use the BASE Child theme from here:
    https://understrap.com/understrap-child-themes/

    Its just an empty preset for a UnderStrap child theme.

    Now copy the header.php file from the parent theme in the child theme directory, do you changes and you are good to go.
    So you can overwrite the default UnderStrap markup/functions without editing the parent theme.
