Multisite subdomain creation

    Hi All,

    Hoping someone can help with my lack of knowledge/understanding. I am new to multisite ??

    I have added multisite to an existing site and have then created a sub site,

    https://thepurbeckrunningfestival.t-pow.co.uk/

    but when I go to the site url I get

    ‘Index of /

    cgi-bin/’

    The site is being created in the admin area ok but the result doesn’t seem right. Not only that but when I look at the themes there is none assigned for the sub site even though I have divi network enabled?

    I suspect that I have done somtething wrong with the config or HTTACCESS files but don’t know what.

    Any help would be much appreciated

  • Did you set up the subdomain separately in your web hosting control panel? That would explain why you’re seeing an “Index of /” page.

    Did you set up wildcard subdomains with your web host? If not, you should ask them for assistance.

    If they don’t support it, you would either have to switch to a host that does, or switch to “subdirectory” mode, which tends to work better on more hosting setups.
