I have been having mixed success with advance free shipping and setting it up properly.

Is there a user guide on how to properly configure it?

    Trying to do the following:
when prod 1 cat A + prod 2,3 etc Cat B are in Basket over $X then customer gets free shipping. We do have 15 products/ variations in Cat A and 30 or more in Cat B.
    thank you

    Hi,

There’s a bunch of documentation available for the other plugin that is very similar here: https://docs.shopplugins.com/category/23-woocommerce-advanced-shipping

Going from your message I assume you’re using the ‘category’ condition? Note that this condition requires all products in the cart to have the given category, so if you setup two conditions with ‘category’ all conditions require to have both categories.

I think that would be the reason why you’re having mixed results.

What you could try is the ‘contains shipping class’ condition which will match when there’s at least one product in the cart with the given class.

Hope that helps / makes sense ??

    Cheers,
    Jeroen

Jeroen – first thank you so much for your answer.
Is there a way for us to compensate you to set it up for us? This will probably be quicker…

    Hi,

Sorry, I can’t offer to configure this for you.

Were you able to figure out the different between the ‘category’ and ‘contains class’ conditions..?

    Have a great weekend!

    Jeroen – still not working…

    we have category A, 10 products(different prices) & category B with sub categories B1, B2, B3, about 50 products total.
My goal is that every time someone adds $200 worth of category B products for a cart w category A product, then order for ship is free. the cart value for cat A can be value product 1 cat A + $200, value product 2 cat A + $200, etc…

    How do I structure this?

    thank you jeroen

    Hi,

I’ve had a similar question recently and answered here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/minimum-products-from-shipping-class/

It isn’t possible by default to setup a shipping rate when someone orders $x from category Y.
This is because the ‘subtotal’ and ‘category’ conditions are matching separately from each other, and the ‘subtotal’ is based on the cart subtotal amount.

I do have a custom condition available that lets you set both the category and minimum subtotal for that category, but that is for my Advanced Shipping?plugin (paid plugin).

    Hope that explains things ??

    Have a great weekend!

Jeroen – are you saying that the paid plugin would enable us to set-up the conditions the way we want to? If so can you send me the link to the paid plugin?

    Hi,

Yes, in combination with a custom condition that I have available you’ll be able to setup a condition based on the $$ of a specific category in the cart and ensure the shipping option is free.

    Here’s the link: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-advanced-shipping/8634573

Just shoot me a message with your purchase code through the ‘Support’ tab on there to request the additional custom condition.

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
