    Hello,

Thank you for the excellent plugin. Really happy with the functionality and speed I’ve achieved by using it.

I have one problem though – I cannot use it without editing the plugin files because the keycdn cdn enabler plugin I use will not rewrite dynamic protocol paths.

If I edit the plugin to stop http and https being changed to // it works beautifully.

Is it possible to have your plugin not write dynamic protocol URLs so the output is http or https rather than //?

    Thanks again,

    David

    Hi,

I moved away from http and https a few versions ago, in favor of dynamic protocol “//” urls for compatibility reasons.

A few people don’t know how to migrate a site from http to https properly, so it was causing mixed content warnings when they have http references on the database but are somehow enforcing https… as well as cache problems, mixed content warnings, etc.

While I could add a CDN option (it has been planned) I dropped a message to the CDN Enabler plugin author, because the problem is more “their plugin not supporting this” rather than me doing it wrong.

Dynamic protocol urls should be standard and you see this when you want to add jquery from the cdn or a google font to your site.

Depending on the cdn enabler author’s response, I may add CDN support to my plugin.

    Hi,

That all makes sense. Thanks for the clear reply. I look forward to it being added to your plugin, one day in the future.
