My site is not sending a notification email to the admin when a new user registers on the site.

The new user receives a “new account” email from WooCommerce, and the admin receives all the other WooCommerce emails (new order, etc.) Contact Form 7 is also sending email to admin.

The admin email address is correct in General WP settings. I’ve tried it with two different email addresses (Gmail and non-Gmail).

I’m not using any email plugins.

    Any suggestions?

  • Have you deactivated all of your plugins and tried adding a new user (including woocommerce/contact form 7 plugins)?

It could be a setting with in one of those plugins.

Thanks for the suggestion. More info:

When I add a user from the admin, with all plugins active, I DO receive a new user notification.

Also, when I register a test user from the frontend using the Register link in the Meta widget, I DO receive a new user notification (and the test user receives an opt-in email). But I don’t want to use this widget.

I have checked “Enable registration on the “My Account” page” in woocommerce settings/accounts, displaying a registration form (email/password) to non logged-in users on the My Account page, next to the Login form.

This form creates a new user, but it doesn’t send a new user notification to the admin.

I’ve confirmed this problem with all plugins off, except for WooCommerce, which displays the Registration form. so it’s not a conflict with another plugin.

I’m still hoping someone can help with this.
