• Hi,

I added some comments in the header section with this plugin and they aren’t displaying when viewing the live code on the site.

Is this disabled or does it only display certain comment styles?

    I’m using <!– –>

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Comments added using <!–- COMMENT -–> work fine.

Please note that the comment format is <!–- -–> and not <!– –> , like you have mentioned.

    Thanks.

    Hi Debjit,

Sorry for the confusion. Unlike my example, I was using double hyphens (- -) and the entire comment would not appear while looking at the site live.

This looks like an issue with other header injection plugins. I will look to see if there is a conflict elsewhere.

    Thanks

EDIT: typing 2 hyphens in a row turns them into a single hyphen here.

    robteee,

I had the same issue and it was related to the Autoptimize plugin that allows you to hide comments in your HTML (to save a few kb of file size). After disabling this feature I saw all comments made in Insert Headers and Footers plugin again.

I guess you are using some Minify plugin such as Autoptimize.
