Editor missing after update iThemes Security

  • Hi,

    I just updated the plugin to the latest version on db-star.nl. After I did that I wanted to change the editor (appearance > editor). When I clicked on it I got the message that I had no access to the file and then the subitem ‘editor’ totally disappeared.

    Also after that I couldn’t login any more.. after a few minutes I could login but I really don’t understand what was happening here.. When I now deactivate the plugin the editor reappear..

    Does anybody know if there is something wrong with the last update from iThemes Security?

  • Dashboard -> Security -> WordPress Tweaks -> Configure Settings

    Uncheck: Disable File Editor

    Thanks… but I can’t login to my WordPress site anymore!? I use the limit login attempts so there is a captcha text I need to fill in, but when I fill in the correct text there appears a new captcha text.. Very weird!! Can I be hacked?

    The (free) iTSec plugin does not include a captcha feature.
    Only the iTSec Pro includes a reCaptcha feature.

    So if you are having problems with a captcha it must be another plugin.
