Metadata Removal Bug?

Hi,

It appears that EWWW Image Optimizer is stripping the metadata from new image uploads, even though the “Remove Metadata” box is unchecked, and the “Exclude full-size images from metadata removal” box is checked.

EWWW’s settings have been left largely default, with the exception of max width and height resize constraints. JPEG optimization and quality levels are lossless and 82. I have tested uploading the same photo with the plugin deactivated, and the metadata was successfully retained.

The only similar question and answer pertaining to this issue I could find was from 8 months ago, and was 18 pages back (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/metadata-removal/).

Would appreciate any help you can offer!
