How to hide the URL of the download ?

    Your plugin is interesting BUT there is a big issue: when we pass the mouse on the download button, we see the URL of the download, for example: https://mysite.com/?smd_process_download=1&download_id=582
    Now if I copy and paste this link in an e-mail for example, when the link is clicked, the file can be downloaded ! It means hot link is enabled.
    I DO NOT WANT that because I sell the files and I do not want a buyer to put the download link on a forum for example or an e-mail and then everyone can download the file for free !
    So my question is: how to hide the download URL so that no one can copy and paste it ??

    Not at all, I had already read it.It does not solve the problem.
    Make the trial, you will see that it is possible to copy and paste the URL of the video and put it anywhere on the net to download for free !

    Yes I know what you mean. I did carry out a test. The plugin works but what you are after is beyond this plugin. If you are selling products then I humbly suggest an eCommerce or shopping cart plugin. Here is a plugin I highly recommend eStore.

    This plugin is NOT for what you are trying to do. This plugin is for downloads that you are giving away for free and monitoring the download count on those items.

    You need to use a plugin that is for selling an item.
