I was using Secure Image Captcha for some time on my wordpress website. But I started to get spam messages coming from my blog’s contact form. So I have activated Google reCAPTCHA V2 (the one that uses images to tell a person from a robot).

In my Fast Secure Contact Form Settings, I have checked Google reCAPTCHA V2 and unchecked Secure Image CAPTCHA. (I thought that having both Captchas was too confusing for someone who wants to contact me thru my website).

However, I get both the Secure Image CAPTCHA and Google reCAPTCHA V2 still showing in my contact form.

How can I have only the Google reCAPTCHA V2, without the Secure Image CAPTCHA?

Please advise if you know how to get this done.

  • Hi, do you have a cache plugin installed? If you do can you delete the cache and also delete the browser cache. Carry out a test and let me know how you go.

    Regards

I am trying to switch from “Enable Secure Image CAPTCHA” to “Enable reCAPTCHA V2” and yet my contact page looks the same…image with letters/numbers.

No caching plugin installed and I still get the image with letters/numbers on a browser after deleting all caches and history.

Edit: Never mind! I had the wrong form number in my shortcode. All is well.

    to mbrsolution:

    thank you for your reply.
I have emptied the cache and used different web browsers. But the result is the same, which is:

I can turn on and off reCAPTCHA V2 which works fine. But Secure Image CAPTCHA (image with letters and numbers) is always on regardless if it is checkmarked or not.

It is too much effort for someone who wants to use my contact form to use both Secure Image CAPTCHA and after that reCAPTCHA V2, so my intention was to have reCAPTCHA V2 only. Please advise.

This plugin alone will not put out two captchas. Only cause I can think of is you have your shortcode in a post or page with a comment captcha enabled.

If you are having trouble please send a URL to the page where you are having trouble with. I will take a look at what the problem might be.

The issue was resolved after I tried again. I am not sure what I did, but it works now with only reCAPTCHA V2 showing on the contact form. Great! Thank you all for your help.

That is great to know ??

Can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
