shipping options and currencies

  • ok so still a newbie to all this so I’m sorry if this is in wrong department or asking stupid questions…

    Creating an online store using woocommerce, We are located in Australia, but like to use our paypal account in US$ for our own reasons…
    I can create items and it has them listed in US$, but tried the AusPost plugin and it adds the shipping price in US$ but not converted..
    ie; cost is AU$7.60 to post, and it adds it to invoice but US$7.60 Is there a away around this?
    Also I have just noticed it wont calculate for worldwide shipping (aus only), yet I have ticked “Ships internationally” in settings.
    Is there a better plug in that will suit these needs of mine? or do I need to “Upgrade” app? I’m not keen on upgrading (if that’s what it needs to be able to work out international post), if it still displays in US$ the Australian price.

    Hi Josh, Thanks for your reply. Great looking pligin and some useful stuff there for sure. Not sure (by looking at the demo video) if it will fix my issue though.
    I want my store to stay in $US, and display all items as such… but…

    Here’s an example of my issue…
    Item = US$10.00 and Austrlia post plugin works shipping to be AU$7.65 But the checkouth shows it all in $US
    EG;
    Item $10.00
    Post $7.65
    TOTAL $17.65

    I need the $7.65 (post) to be converted to $US
    going off google exchange rate it should show;
    Item $10.00
    Post $5.86
    TOTAL $15.86

    My only other way around this is to make it all in AU$, and use the currency converter to show it in $US ? If I did that, would the payments then go into paypal as $US??
