Site was hacked and as part of the clean up we updated everything except plug ins which get the internal server error.
Could delete and reinstall but some have a lot of configuration which I’m loath to recreate.
Any one have an idea how to resolve?

  • Hi,
Please check the server error log to know the detail of INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. Your hosting provider give to you the detail of error log. You may share the detail here to take the further action against error.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the response.
It turned out to be 2 missing files from a fresh reinstall of WP 4.7 core:
    Plug in/theme updater:
    /wp-admin/includes/class-file-upload-upgrader.php
    Image uploader:
    wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-gd.php

When I recreated those, the problem went away.
I’ve no idea why these files were missing from a fresh download?

    Hi,
Glad ?? to help you. Its usually missed some files when install WordPress.
    Thanks
    Mohammad
