• Outstanding developers,

I have an issue with the plugin overriding the avatar in my theme.

My theme has the avatar built in, so it is not connected to gravatar.com.

What changes would I make to keep the built-in avatar for users on my site but use this plugin for commenters only?

I tried to locate a solution in the support forum. The nearest thread I could find was https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-overrules-all-avatars/. But it still does not completely address my issue.

I have set the Plugin filter priority down to 7, but the plugin still overrides.

Please let me know if it is possible to use this wonderful plugin with a theme that has built-in avatar.

Thanks for developing an outstanding plugin.

    Rick

But I am extremely satisfied with this plugin.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the opinion.

Well, other than tweaking the filter priority, there is not much you can do. You would have to see what priority is applied by your theme. Try to look for ‘get_avatar’ or “get_avatar” in your theme files and see what priority it is using.

Maybe try setting my plugin to -9999, just to be sure.

    Kind regards,

    Daniel Wroblewski,

Please accept my apologies for the lateness of this response. By mistake I deleted the email from my queue and had a brain freeze and forgot about it.

Indeed tried setting the plugin filter priority to many dimensions, none of which works.

However, it is not your plugin problems. The way the theme is coded by the theme developer makes it not not possible to use the plugin.

But I stick with the 5 stars because it did all it said it would do seamlessly.

Thanks for taking time to reply.
