    Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for offering this plugin for free.

I thought it was re-writing the URLs, so I disabled the plugin and uninstalled it after making the changes I wanted but several weeks later, I noticed that my changes were not sticking at all if the plugin was disabled or uninstalled. Is there a way to permanently rewrite the URLs once and for all?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Florence.

    Hi Florence,

unfortunately it is not possible, Permalink Manager is the only permalink plugin that does not use rewrite rules to detect the post/page.

When the page is loaded and $post object is created, the Permalink Manager checks if the current slug/URI is assigned to any post/page – if it is, the $post object is filtered, if not nothing happens.

All the custom URIs are stored in ‘permalink-manager-uris’ option and they work only when Permalink Manager is enabled.

    Best Regards,
    Maciej

    Hello Maciej,

But from what I see, the old and the new URL are complete DUST (Duplicate URL Same Text).

    Example:
    1/ Old URL: https://spinwave.com/content-spinning/explication-content-spinning/
    2/ New URL: https://spinwave.com/explication-content-spinning/

I thought the 1/ would at least redirect to the 2/

    Best regards,
    Florence.
