We are experiencing a bug. If one image has no description, after saving, all the descriptions from the images that follow it are moved up.

For example, images A-C have descriptions. Image D does not. Images E-G do. After saving, the descriptions have moved so D now has image E’s description, and so on, with G no longer having a description.

Please help me troubleshoot and resolve this problem!

Is this problem being looked into? I’m happy to assist in troubleshooting.

    Hi Jeremy,

Please share the exact URL of slider page (website part).

Also share the screenshot of that slider shortcode page (admin part).

    Thanks

We are using the slider on every property page. Here’s one example:

    Hi Jeremy,

We checked the slider page and slider setting screenshot.

And matched each slide description which is exactly same on slider page on each slide.

And we made the same use case on the local system to test as you explained into your support. This is also working perfectly no description moving into its subsequent blank description slide.

    Thanks

As I’ve already explained, the problem occurs when we leave a slider description blank. If you reproduced the slider from that screenshot, of course it worked (since all descriptions are completed).

Again, if a description field is empty for an image, all the descriptions from the subsequent images get moved up so that captions no longer match the images.

    Please reproduce this.

Make an example slider with exact problem you facing.

And share URL and screenshot of slides setting.

We will investigate again that bug for you.

    Thanks

Here is a draft slider. I’ve added a caption for 1,2, 4, 5, and 6. Image 3 has no caption.

Then when I save the draft, the captions have moved up so caption 4 is now on image 3, etc.

Can I get an update on this bug, please?

    Hi Jeremy,

You said “Then when I save the draft, the captions have moved up so caption 4 is now on image 3, etc.”

Is that working perefclty after publishing the slider?

    Thanks

Well, no, having images miscaptioned is less than perfect. Please correct this bug. Again, I’m happy to help troubleshoot.
