[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] You are not a member of this blog.

  • I installed the WordPress Stats and am getting an error with some direction on what to do, but I don’t understand what I am suppose to do. Which user do I need to add where? I am using a shared API key with another hosted site. The first one is venzandsons.com this new site is dodaddle.com. Here is the error:

    You are not a member of this blog.

    If you have just installed the Automattic Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.

    Have the owner of the API key visit this page and add you to the blog, or
    Get your API key here, then deactivate and activating the plugin and enter your key to add your account to the access list for this blog.

    Well I created a second wordpress.com blog with a name matching that of my hosted site and this still doesn’t work.

    I am just going to unistall this stupid plugin…..
