Thank you, wanted to be sure, as we’re in the forum for the MailChimp Plugin. Sorry for any confusion.
Please verify for me if you received a green checkmark after inputting your API key, and have a list selected.
If so, what happens you click on the subscribe button? Are you getting any response (error messages, page refresh, ‘subscribing’ on the button)?
We’d also like you to perform a basic check for conflicts to make sure none of your plugins or your theme is causing interference. If you find a conflict let us know what it was with and we’ll see if we can address it.
To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.
1. First please deactivate all plugins except [Plugin] and see if the issue persists.
2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.
