Problems with Uploaded Themes

  • I have just created a blog through the WordPress installed on my host Network Solutions. Just learning file management, but successfully see theme files showing in the correct directory, but do not show as available. File permissions seem to be consistent, but the owner shows as a numeric rather than root (the two defaults). Is this a permission issue, or how do I fix this? Thanks

  • Did you create your blog using their interface or did you upload WP files and create yourself? Don’t use their interface. I’m running two blogs on two accounts. You have to set up the database using their mysql interface. Once you do that your mystery may be solved.
