    Happiness Rocketeer ??

Thanks for getting in touch. Jetpack 4.8 was released earlier in the week with PHP code that caused fatal errors on sites running PHP versions lower than 5.4. While we do our best to test things prior to release, sometimes things fall through the cracks. We’re sorry for any disruption this code may have caused. You can read more about this release here:
    https://wp.me/p1moTy-4N5

Please update to 4.8.1 as soon as possible to see if that fixes that issue for you. Also, if you’re using WP Rocket, please update that to the latest version as well.

Let me know if you still have this problem and I’ll be happy to take a closer look.

Again, sorry for the trouble. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

I’m seeing the same issue with my site (www.gravelbike.com).

    Jetpack: 4.8.2
    PHP: 5.6
    WordPress: 4.7.3

I end up having to remove the jetpack plug directory via ftp or file manager.

I deleted the folder via cpanel, and uploaded the current jetpack version as outlined in the linked page, expanded the zip file to Jetpack in the plugins directory as instructed, and got the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() in /home/business/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 141

This error seems related to your WordPress installation; you seem to be missing some WordPress files.

I would recommend that you reinstall WordPress to make sure your site runs properly.
