I would like to make products available for purchase only in the US using certain Priority Mail box sizes.

I was only able to get shipping to calculate if selected the top “Priority Mail” option in addition to the boxes i want to use.

Is there a way to see which size box is being used to calculate shipping costs?

I have the “When cheaper, pack multiple items in a single package” and “Show all available rates and let customers choose” options selected but i only get one price for whatever combination of items i add to the cart. That price goes up with each item i add.

    How come 2 (3 x 3 x 9 in) packages won’t fit inside a Regional A box, Inside Dimensions: 10″ x 7″ x 4-3/4″?

    Hi Chris!

Is there a way to see which size box is being used to calculate shipping costs?

Not currently, but we’re working on it.

I have the “When cheaper, pack multiple items in a single package” and “Show all available rates and let customers choose” options selected but i only get one price for whatever combination of items i add to the cart.

Only one of each type of rate will be shown. So one First Class, one Priority Express, one Priority etc. So if you only have on certain type of shipping available, it will just show the cheapest method for that type.

    How come 2 (3 x 3 x 9 in) packages won’t fit inside a Regional A box, Inside Dimensions: 10″ x 7″ x 4-3/4″?

Do you have Commercial rates enabled? Regional Rates are an online/commercial only rate, so if you have retail rates enabled, it won’t even try to pack Regional Rate.

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions, thanks!

I have selected, “What price would you like to charge = Commercial – Discounted post office rates.”

    Now it is saying 4 (3 x 3 x 9 in) packages fit inside a Regional A box (Inside Dimensions: 10″ x 7″ x 4-3/4″).

How is that possible? Only 2 should fit.

Also, how can i make this box an option?

    12x12x8

    Thank you

Also, despite having several larger box options selected the shipping always gets calculated based on the same Regional A box pricing.

    1-4 products = $6.20
    5-8 products = $12.40
    9-12 products = $18.60
    and so on

the interval box pricing never comes up despite it being a cheaper way to ship certain numbers of products.

    Hi!

How is that possible? Only 2 should fit.

    Products: (3*3*9)*4 = 324 cubic inches

    Box: 10*7*4.75 = 332.5 cubic inches

So four can fit in a box volume wise. Physically they may not, but the box packer has to work on volume.

The box “7” can be added as a pre-defined box and can be selected under WC > Settings > Shipping > Packages.

    All the best!

Thanks for getting back to me.

Ok, thats disappointing. Is this the same “box packer” that the USPS Shipping Method plugin uses?

How come The Regional B box isn’t coming up as a shipping option for 5 products when it would fit and be cheaper than 2 Regional A boxs?

    Products: (3*3*9)*5 = 405 cubic inches

    Regional B box
    https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDown.jsp?productId=P_RRB_B1
    Inside Dimensions: 12″ x 10-1/4 x 5″ = 615 ci

    Approx shipping cost= $8

Currently the 5 products results in a $12.40 shipping cost (2*$6.20 Regional A box)

It’s not exactly the same box packer, it’s a newer version but it’s similar.

    Hi!

We would need to take a detailed look at your settings. If you can raise a ticket here:

    https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?

Choose WooCommerce Extensions and then WooCommerce Services from the dropdown. Please link to this thread and provide a login for us. Let us know the product you’re using.

Due to the 3.0 release there is a longer than usual delay getting to new tickets, but you will be answered as soon as possible!

    Thanks!

While the volume bug still exists (4 products in the Regional Rate Box A), Regional Rate Box B is now correctly selected for 5 products.

Please don’t hesitate to open a new support thread or ticket if you experience new issues.

    Thanks!
