Password Reset email not arriving

    Password reset emails are not arriving (wordpress says they were sent)
    However, I am able to get a test email to send properly from wp mail smtp plugin. Also, when initially setting up a user, emails go to the correct locations

    Server is Office 365
    Settings are:
    SMTP Host: smtp.office365.com
    SMTP Port: 587
    Encryption: Use TLS
    Authentication: Yes

    Any idea why password reset emails are not being sent? I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out.

    Hello talljena,

    The plugin bypasses all email sending from your WordPress site to be sent through it.

    If your password is not arriving, here the steps you can take:
    1. Disable WP Email SMTP plugin and check if they arrive without the plugin, chances of which are very low.

    WP Email SMTP plugin works by bypassing all email sent through WP PHP Mail and sends that through SMTP. If the password is not arriving it suggests that your password reset emails are not going at all.

    I would suggest you to troubleshoot the problem with plugin disabled first so that you know from where this issue is coming.
