My problems are simple and I hope that the solutions are also simple.

I have an album which consists of a few galleries.

When I add the album to my website, the album (not gallery) thumbnails are distorted. They are all forced and stretched to the dimensions of the white frame which symbolizes a stack of photos.

Tall thumbs are stretched to the sides and horizontal photos are enlarged vertically. What a terrible mess. I would prefer cropping of thumbnails instead of distorting them. Where can I set it?

My second problem is the size of the photo-stack frame in the album. It seems to be very small while I would prefer a 150x150px size.

In the NextGen gallery plugin there are settings for galleries, images, thumbnails but no settings for album display… Help please ??

Or maybe there is a .css file that directly affects the way thumbnails are displayed in an album?

You can probably change the size without too much trouble

    “nggallery.css”

you will at least need to edit the background image “albumset.gif” and the selectors “.ngg-album-compactbox” and “.ngg-album-compactbox .Thumb” in the CSS file.

I’m also having a distortion issue with images, but I think you would need to know PHP to fix it, or use images with a smaller aspect ratio
