Is this plugin depending on SSL Forward Secrecy?

may be it is the /staging/, try with /api/auth/

or you can also bypass the ssl check by sending the insecure=cool

/staging/ is just where the site is hosted.
I know about the insecure feature but I don′t want that for my final release.

try to use JSON API User https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/json-api-user/. It has the same endpoints and some more.
