Permalinks WITHOUT AllowOverride

Hi, I’ve been trying to set up “pretty” permalinks on my website, https://www.cheerupemokid.net. Unfortunately my webhost deems the “AllowOverride” directive as a security risk and won’t activate it. . .

Is there Any other way to establish pretty permalinks without that directive? It’s really bugging me. . . Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

I’ve tried searching for this topic but I can’t find any issue that addresses someone who’s in my situation — everyone else seems to have no problem with activating or getting their webhost to activate this directive for them.
