[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] cannot see plugin (??)

    I installed already several plugins without problems.
    So when i uploaded the plugin folder, i cannot see the plugin to activate.
    I changed the Permissions, but no success..

    What’s the matter?

  • i am having the same problem. i installed a new plugin (feedburner_feedsmith) to my directory (wp-content-plugins) and it shows up there . but when i go to my admin panel on my blog and go to plugins it doesn’t show so i can’t activate it.
    phew…it’s a drag. i too have other plugins installed and working fine. eg. never had this problem when i installed wordpress stats plugin.

    Before you upload the plugin, check it to be sure that the folder you upload is not a wrapper. Quite often plugins come in a folder of the same name so when you upload the plugin”X” folder to your directory it can’t be activated because the actual plugin is inside another folder.
