I wish there was a like/unlike button on forum posts (especially the feedback forum) as I’m too lazy to write +1 or something more worthwhile. Sometimes a like is all we need and it may give WP a guide as to how popular an idea is.

  • You mean here on www.ads-software.com forums?

Personally, I find the “thumbs up” / “thumbs down” button philosophy really better than the “1/2/3/4/5 stars” feature, as almost reviews stand on this way: Either something is good/useful or is bad/not useful and then, one would just have to calculate the median of ups/downs and show the average on a percentage result. But this is a personal opinion, not related to forums here on www.ads-software.com at all.

Did you know that there is a place for us WordPress lovers suggest ideas for future implementation on WordPress core / future plugins?

The forums are for support and +1 or like buttons really have no place here, IMHO.

As per my post, I was referring mainly to these feedback/request sub forum. Not much support going on here but plenty of opportunity for a like or two to help the masses.

There is a forum for that sort of thing but to be honest, I’m hoping it dies a graceful death in it’s sleep.

It’s just that ideas by acclaim or “votes” aren’t really useful for strategic decision making IMHO.
