• I am having issues with the Variations tab. When I click to edit that section the spinner icon just spins and spins and doesn’t load the Variations. Can you help with this? I sent the info to my hosting provider also.

  • Same problem here with Woocommerce 3.05 / WP 4.7.4. Disabled all other plugins, but no influence. WP_MEMORY_LIMIT set to 256M

    Same issue here

Try turning debug to true in your wp-config file.

I’ve noticed some issues with products getting converted from 2.6 to 3.x, sometimes the attributes get messed up and the products need to be recreated… You might try rebuilding one of your products and see if the new product behaves the same way, if not then you know your old products didn’t move to the new Woo properly and will have to remake them.

I’m not seeing anything special with debug set to true. I can’t create a new product because WP also freezes when you add a new custom product property.

What do you mean by “custom product property”?

With debug turned on, you’re not getting any errors shown in the admin or frontend of the site?

Maybe dump your woo status export info here too so we could see if there is a conflict.

I have the same issue, was working fine 2 days ago before recent updates now variations tab wont open/load.. I have woocommerce 3.06 and seemed to have the same issue before updating woocommerce from I think 3.05

@thanewest, I ment ‘custom product attribute’
No errors with debug on on front and backend
    Updated to 3.0.6, no difference

I would probably disable the plugins that are involved with the edit product screen, like “Cart Product Feed Additional Product Fields”.

Some of those other plugins I haven’t used before, so it’s possible one of them is causing the problem as well, but right off the bat it looks like the plugin I mentioned actually inserts it’s own fields into the edit product screen, so that’s a big red flag (it’s highly likely 3rd party plugins will take months to become compatible with Woocommerce 3.x.x – if they ever do).

Even official Woocommerce.com plugins are hit n miss for compatibility – so that should tell ya something lol…

If the plugin i mentioned doesn’t do it, try taking down other plugins as well – just as a test to rule out a plugin conflict being your problem.

For the custom product attributes, try creating ‘global attributes’ from Woocommerce>Attributes, see if that helps you try to create a new variable product (again, I’ve seen a lot of problems coming from variations – 3.0.6 is supposed to fix this issue, but it’s the new Woo so of course it doesn’t work lol).

Also, is your checkout working? Specifically are you able to pull shipping rates, select a rate, and go on to paypal or whatever you use for payments? Seen a lot of Select2 conflicts and a broken checkout is a sign of that being a problemo.

    Disabled all other plugins–>No effect
    Checkout is working

Is it possible to do a rollback to 2.x?

You can roll back to 2.6.14 as long as you have a backup of your database to go along with it, woo 3.x makes changes to your database that aren’t compatible with 2.6.

But you don’t want to stay on 2.6 too long, you’ll need to eventually make the switch, I would at least try to figure out what is causing the issue first or else you’ll sort of be stuck in limbo forever.

If all the plugins are removed and the problem persists then there’s something seriously wrong with your installation or hosting account.

On the edit product page are there any errors in the javascript error console?

I have the same problem. Disabling the “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer” plugin solves the problem.

    Same problem.

“Disabling the “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer” plugin solves the problem” its ok this observation.

I’m having a similar issue. It loads variations for products with few variations (<5), but anything more (most of my products) and it just spins. Tried disabling plugins.

It looks like this is a consistent problem; any ideas for how to resolve?

Is it feasible to hard-code instead? I don’t know what I’m going to do if I can’t get this working…
