Hi Frank,

So your plugin helped me optimize more than 10 sites up till now and I’m very thankful!!

However I have 1 site that is acting strange when I activate Autoptimize : https://www.postali.com/

the html part is working fine, but the css and js parts are not working. This site is built exactly the same as the other 10 sites and its even using the same theme. When I activate the Optimize CSS option and usually I use inline all css, 2 slider images disappear from the homepage, I have tried generating the critical css and picking the inline and defer option also didnt work, I tried aggregating inline css also didnt work. The sliders are background images ( just like my other sites) and I can see them load on the site but they dont show. The only thing that can make the images appear is excluding “style.css” which I cant do because Pagespeed is complaining about it. There are also some errors in pagespeed coming from plugins ( which usually ao takes care of everything including the plugins).

As for the Js part, when I enable the optimizing of the js I lose couple of things on the homepage, the first thing is the white header that moves while scrolling. The other thing is the testimonial rotator at the end of the page, now this rotator comes back if I exclude its js which is another thing that pagespeed is complaining about.

Had a quick look, but AO isn’t active now, is it? Do you have a non-prod site where you could activate so I could see what is going on there?

Sorry I had to make sure not to activate it until you respond, its our homepage so I’m only allowed to break it for like 10 minutes.
I just enabled the css and js optimization, so you can take a better look.

sorry mate, was offline. the better approach would be working on a non-production site, do you have that?

Sorry again I enabled it for 30 minutes then disabled it, awe dont have another site for this one I asked them about this. you can check it now.

for JS; the problem is the nextgen-gallery’s resource manager messes up stuff. you can disable that hackish funcionality with this code snippet;
```
add_filter( 'run_ngg_resource_manager', '__return_false' );
```
next up: css.

I added the snippet to the functions but it doesnt seem to make a difference, but its good to know which plugin is causing the problem.

your background image isn’t being loaded because the https certificate does not match the domain in the url; https://18720-presscdn-0-25.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/themes/postali/img/homepage_slider.jpg. this is likely to cause other issues as well, so either fix that or remove your CDN-setting?

oh ok I will talk to the person in charge of the cdn and ssl. maybe this will fix both css and js because like I told you I’ve done this so many times and for some reason this site was different.

for the filter; be sure to purge your page cache!
