Social media Icons not displaying

  • Hello.
    The title says it all really. Instead of icons, there are small blank boxes but the social media links actually work. I have tried -appearance/customise/header/social icons (on & off) but that just switches the visibility of the blank boxes on and off
    How do I get the icons to display?

    Sounds like the icons font is not loading, either the file is missing or the font loads from an external URL and the browser stops it for security reasons.

    Often the reason is that the site is loaded like example.com but the files point to https://www.example.com

    Go to WP admin > Setting > General and make sure both “Site Address” and “WordPress address” are the same ( either with “www” or without “www” ).

    Thanks for the replies. I am a ‘newbie’ to WordPress so may get things wrong. WordPress addresses are the same. (no www.)

    The site link is https://www.norfolkislrealestate.com/ The theme is Real Homes
    I notice that some pages do have dull icons ( top right) which brighten up when you hover but the home page has none.
