Searching by Bib Numbers

I am using NextGen Gallery on my site as just a generic gallery for displaying pictures of my running club. Something similar to the previous question, but very different at the same time!

We are soon to be hosting a race, and I would like to make the gallery for this fully searchable, by race number. So, for example, if your bib number was #123 you could search for “123” and display all the photos taken of you.

1 – Is it possible to search in this way?
2 – How do I tag the photo with the race numbers?
3 – Is there an additional plugin that I need to add?
