Jittering parallax effect in Firefox, MSIE and Edge

  • Hi, I am using Zerif Lite, and happy with it.

    There is only one thing that bugs me – the jittery (choppy) parallax effect in some browsers. I am not talking about scrolling parallax, I am talking about the front-page parallax where one image slides against another image with mouse movements (by default, there is the Freedom Statue moving against cloudy background). I cannot provide a link to my site, as it is closed currently for maintenance period, but I found that this issue is reproduced easily – just install Zerif Lite on any WP, and use that default parallax effect. What I noticed is that this parallax effect is a bit jittery in Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer. In Chrome and Opera the movement is smooth and nice.

    I observed it with WP installed on two different hosts, and with different client machines, with latest versions of the aforementioned browsers. Could anyone confirm that and provide possible solution?

    I tried to reproduce it on my Mac, running latest Firefox, and it seem to be smooth. Which device are you having this issue on?

    I have now tried it also under Mac + Firefox, and also see the issue. Are you sure you noticed it? The jitter is rather small, and with the default images difficult to detect, unless you compare, e.g., under Chrome. Please, move the mouse slowly, and make sure that the movement of images is a kind of discrete rather than smooth (in Firefox). I have install an instance of WP + Zerif Lite for test, please check it here – https://tmp.aphi.kz.

    I have checked it under Chrome from MS Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.04 and Mac OS – the parallax is smooth. But in Firefox, from the same three machines, the movement is discrete.
