    Hi,

My site scrolls normally on Chrome but really fast on Firefox – too fast. When I turn the plugin off it goes back to scrolling at a normal speed. Is there something that I’m doing wrong that makes both browsers scroll differently on it?

When I turn the plugin off Firefox goes back to scrolling at the same speed as Chrome.

    Hello sharcs

Do you use one background image for all posts and pages?
And can you please provide me an url?

    Thanks and regards,

    Demis

    Hi Demispatti,

Thanks for getting back to me.

To answer your questions, my background image is set through the settings on your plugin and I have it set to global, so I’m assuming that it means all posts and pages.

At the moment my site is hosted on a local server so there’s no URL to provide, but if it helps, the theme I’m using is called Allegiant (v1.1.4).

    Thanks.

    Hello sharcs

For having an as smooth as possible cross-browser scrolling experience, this plugin uses the default “Nicescroll” js library, which also aims to serve a similar scrolling behaviour on different browsers.

Did you try other browsers like IE / Safari, and how’s the scrolling there?
Does your theme come with a smooth scroll option which you may want to deactivate?
Did you customize “your mousewheel”? I an having issues with a Microsoft Mouse on my Mac which results in laggy scrolling in some applications ( …and yeah, I know… ?? )

Please visit your theme’s options for a smooth scroll functionality.

This weekend I’ll find the time to dive deeper into this issue.

    Regards,

    Demis

    Hi sharcs,

    Could you solve the issue?

If not, do you use the Nicescrollr plugin, too?
Do you get any warnings / errors in the console or the debug bar (if you use it) ?

    Regards,

    Demis

Hey, sorry to take so long to get back to you but I’ve only just got back to working on the project that has this plugin. Anyways, after updating the site all seems to be working perfectly now.

Thanks again for the support and thanks for making a great plugin.
