In order towork properly (sending the sitemap and other features), Do I have to have all the sites in a multisite with Google Search console or can just to add the site 0?

    Hi @colomet,

This depends. Is your network subdirectory, subdomain or even split-domain?

    Subdirectory:
When it’s subdirectory, all sites are treated as one in Google’s eyes; and so should you. Thus only one verification ID needs to be set up and all falls under the same Console’s dashboard.

Note that the sitemap generation doesn’t look for other network’s sites, but you can submit multiple sitemaps to Google.

    Everything else:
You should treat every site anew from a third-person’s perspective. So you need to create a new Console dashboard per site.

If you have any more follow-up questions, I’d love to hear them! Cheers ??

Let me see if I do understand:

I have site.com but my multisite is on second.site.com (as Subdirectory installation). I should just activate on second.site.com (inside site 0) and then, all of the sites will work without a neew configuration?

    thanks

    Hi @colomet,

I think this will draw the picture:

    scheme://subdomain.domain.tld/directory-or-path/file.extension
    http ://second .site .com/subdirectory /file.zip

Take that in and then re-read my comments ??

    Cheers!
