it’s also showing in some pages an empty grey box where it used to display the email & name fields

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues connecting to your list. We are currently working on resolving an issue with the MailChimp API.

Please try the following steps. This is a temporary solution that some of our users have found helpful.

    – Create a new API key on MailChimp
    – Add a new email to the list (even if you have others added)
    – Entered new API in Hustle
    – Reactivate the Hustle widget

Let us know how it goes.

The Mailchimp API has been updated. Please let us know if you encounter any issues after installing the latest version of Hustle.

I’ve installed version 5.1.1. In testing the plugin, it is not working with MailChimp. I tried again using your notes above and generated a new API key. Still no luck. I tried my email address: [email protected] and a note comes up: that email is already signed up (which it is). Then, I entered a new email that I know is not on the list. It gives me the success, you’ve signed up note, but no verification email ever shows up in the INBOX, so no confirmation and so no new email address entry to my MailChimp list. Website where I’m trying the plugin: nexttribe.com I’m running WordPress version 4.7.5 with a Genesis theme.

@crumbolt Thank you for using Hustle! It looks like you only have one field set to collect the email address. Mailchimp has 3 required fields so if you choose to use less the registration will only be added to your list in the plugin. You can then import them to MailChimp without the other fields.

If you want the subscription to be saved directly into Mailchimp you must include all required fields requested by Mailchimp. I hope that helps explain how the API works.

I tried adding two fields (First and Last names) with no luck. One, it doesn’t record the Last name so the entry ends up in your error log with the others that have tried to sign up. I have two other Mailchimp sign ups on the site — in the header and sidebar only requiring an email address. They work perfectly with Mailchimp sending the verification and then just their email address entered into my Mailchimp list.

Sorry for the delay here. Can you please try inserting this hotfix and let us know how it goes.
