Link Category Set to Blogroll Error

I have an issue where I am adding links, but when they are added it is setting the link category to blogroll even though I have selected something else, when I go to change it back from blogroll it sometimes even take 2/3 attempts to set it to the correct link category.

Any idea what could be causing this?
